Who can benefit from this program?
The services of In-Home Childcare Collective are the best match for individuals or families who could benefit from once weekly free childcare from either 10 AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 7 PM, on the day of their choosing, every week for a year. This program is not income dependent; if you feel you would benefit from this service you are highly encouraged to fill out our childcare request form.
How is this possible?
When parents and caregivers have access to childcare, they are able to take care of their physical and emotional health, attend. doctorsappointments for themselves and family members, attend older children’s school events, and spend time having fun and connecting with other adults, to name a few. Transgender Competency for Schools & Education Professionals

Transgender and gender nonconforming students have unique needs and face unique educational challenges. In this hands-on interactive workshop, teachers and administrators will learn science back best practices for working with transgender students. This workshop will cover updated language and terminology, tips for working with parents of transgender youth, policies and practices to make your school truly affirming and welcoming, and answer questions you may have about physical and social transition for students.
This workshop is highly interactive, and tailored specifically to the needs of your school and student population. This workshop will give educators and administrators the tools they need to help reduce the staggering rates of transgender suicide and self-harm, and increase school retention for transgender youth.

Whether it’s an all-school assembly, speaking to your school’s GSA, or coming to speak to a specific class, meeting a transgender educator can be a powerful experience for students.
Many youth, both transgender and cisgender, report having never met an out transgender adult. This lack of exposure can create significant problems for transgender youth and their peers. Giving students an opportunity to ask questions and learn about gender identity decreases instances of bullying, and increases a culture of acceptance and affirmation at your school. Gender stereotyping impacts all students, not just transgender students.
Participating in workshops on gender identity and expression can help students actively confront gender stereotypes that limit them, and encourages girls to see themselves as leaders and participate more readily in STEM, and encourages boys to be in touch with their emotions and treat each other with kindness.

This interactive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training is designed to help businesses create a culture of inclusion on staff, gain competency for working with transgender individuals in public-facing positions, and give businesses the protocols and skills they need to be a truly affirming environment for both the public and trans and gender nonconforming staff members.
There is much more than using pronouns to being trans competent. This interactive workshop will feature games and activities alongside information about best practices and updated terminology. Participants will have an opportunity to ask the questions that are really on their minds in a judgment-free environment.
Transgender Competency for Mental & Physical Healthcare Professionals

Transgender mental health statistics are staggering. Some studies show that 51% of transgender individuals have attempted suicide in the last year, with 85% experiencing suicidal ideation. Transgender homelessness has seen an 88% increase since 2016, and transgender people are significantly more likely to be involved with behavioral health interventions like therapy and institutionalization. Transgender and gender nonconforming (TGNC) participants face unique mental health challenges and barriers to seeking treatment. Understanding how to work with TGNC participants is quintessential for any mental health care practitioner.
This workshop will cover understanding diagnostic criteria and letter writing for confirmation of gender affirming care for surgeons and insurers. But, importantly, this workshop will also cover best practices for working directly with TGNC participants, as well as the parents, children and loved ones of TGNC individuals.
